Splash It Up

We purchased a pass to the Louisville Zoo last week and in that short amount of time we have been 4 times. The main reason we have frequented so often is because at the Zoo they have a really great splash park! J isn’t really interested in the animals right now, especially the ones that don’t move, and the monkeys are all just another type of dog… so, nothing special. BUT the splash park offers freedom, and a break from the heat, and it beefs up his social calendar (he makes about 3 new friends every visit). David had another opening in his schedule Tuesday morning and he was dying to play after hearing all my fun stories about the glee J-baby expresses at this new favorite place so I finally had my camera man on board. As long as the summer is here, I’m sure we’ll have many more posts about this place.

This was great because J loves to slide but when its just me I'm not fast enough to hold off the other kids while helping him get situated and then race around to the bottom to catch him before some other numbskull kid flys down behind him and squashes him

But, then sometimes the slide doesn't go so well...

Weekend Fun

Sunday afternoon the fam bam made a trip over to a nearby park that is tucked back and away off the street in a lush mini-valley. The place was gorgeous. Looked gorgeous. Smelled gorgeous. and the park wasn’t half bad either. We had it all to ourselves! Then, as we were leaving we took a few of those grass shots of Jamesy, and the grass single handedly took out my poor husband! It ruined the rest of his evening via allergies…. We have a pretty good idea of what one of his triggers is now!

Moving Day

Welp, we did it again folks! In less than three years of marriage we have moved all of our gear from one place to another 5 times, counting our very first move in together… 5! You would think that we’re pros by now but I made so many mistakes this time around that I think I might be going insane, family can vouch for that one. Our place is still in shambles, piles of shambles, mostly book boxes *cough cough* that go in the office… but plenty of others as well. David has a couple of finals he is finishing this week which require his full attention so his help has been diverted as of now. So places that I would call my domain i.e. the kitchen, Jameson’s room, the bathroom… are in pretty good shape. Just overlook the fact that we have no couch to sit on… SO, since the place is still a wreck no images have been captured of our glorious, clearly unprofessional, paint job or any of the new fun-ness of this joint. We did however catch some good ones of the cutest child on earth on moving day…
